Just a quick base set I made while experimenting with different, and hopefully more dynamic, poses.
The Pouyo base set includes 13 poses & 13 heads.

What does 'using the base' mean?
It means drawing clothes and hair on the base and making a doll. You are really
behind the curve on this one.
Do I have to use the exact link format provided?

Not really, the important part is that the link to the credit page is clickable.
(if you are in a situation where you can't make clickable links, a copy and pastable
link is OK.)
It really shows respect to the artist who made the base for you to use to make sure
their name is visible in the credit link, and showing the name of the base will
make it easier for other artist's to find the base you used. But neither of those
things is mandatory.
Why am I linking to 'Pixistar.com/Credit.aspx'-something and not the Artist's
Homepage or Profile?
Because this way Pixistar can provide the artist with some stats about their base's
popularity and who is using it, and to provide you some info about what bases you
have used and the popularity of your dolls.
It is also to provide links to artist's sites that won't die if the artist moves
or goes on hiatus.
If you want to remain anonymous in credit links for some reason you can take the
'&usedby=[YOUR NAME]' out of the link.
What if an artist tells me not to link Pixistar, and link a different site instead?
Then you should do what the artist asks. Link the other site and don't link the
Pixistar credit page.
You should probably tell them that Pixistar credit links will help them track the
popularity of their bases and ensure that people can still find them if their site
goes down or moves, but in the end, everyone should be alowed to decide how their
work gets used and linked to.
